Former Florida LB Jarrad Davis appears to have suffered a serious injury in the Detroit Lions’ Friday night preseason game.
Davis was observed grabbing at his right leg and slamming the turf after the play in the video below. Davis needed assistance to get over to the sideline. After being looked at on the sideline, the Lions carted him off the field. Davis appeared unable to put any pressure on his right leg the whole time. ESPN’s Michael Rothstein is reporting that Davis will undergo an MRI on his right foot Saturday.
A first-round pick in 2017, Davis has started 30 games for the Lions over the last two seasons at middle linebacker, recording 196 tackles, eight sacks, eight passes defended and two fumble recoveries. He was also a team captain last season.
