Former Florida WR Brandon Powell was not selected in the 2018 NFL Draft, but that didn’t stop from playing in the pros this year. With the way he finished his rookie season, Powell should see even more playing time in 2019.
The Detroit Lions beat the Green Bay Packers 31-0 in their season finale. With six catches for 103 yards, Powell was the game’s leading receiver. The Lions’ official Twitter account shared that Powell is only the second undrafted free agent in the franchise’s history to record 100 receiving yards in a game.
Heading into Sunday, his first start of the season, Powell had appeared in five games, catching five passes on eight targets for 26 yards.
