After drinking at a teammate’s wedding, former Florida WR wakes up in museum alone

If you’re in need of a good middle-of-the-week laugh, you’ve come to the right place.
According to a report from the Tampa Bay Times, former Florida wide receiver Louis Murphy — who currently earns a living playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — attended an old teammate’s wedding over the weekend and… well… spent some time at the open bar. He enjoyed himself.
A lot, apparently.
So much that he found himself waking up locked inside the Flagler Museum alone early Saturday morning — the same place where the wedding was held the night before.

Murphy, 29, was not charged with any crime, but woke up early Saturday morning and found himself locked in the Flagler Museum, where former Gators teammate and Ravens receiver Deonte Thompson had his wedding the night before. According to a Palm Beach Police report, Murphy told police that he had been drinking, went to the museum’s courtyard and fell asleep on the stairs. “When he woke up, everyone was gone, and the doors were locked,” the report states.
Murphy told police he “got nervous and broke the glass on one of the doors in order to unlock it,” then called a friend, who called 911. Police arrived at 1:12 a.m., and then the museum’s facilities manager arrived and estimated the damage to the window at $1,000. The two parties agreed to “work out the repair costs amongst themselves,” according to the report.
