South Carolina gained some depth in its receiver room this week as former Furman wideout Bailey Rogers has announced his intention to transfer to South Carolina. Rogers will begin his career in Columbia as a walk-on after appearing in 10 games total in two seasons for Furman.

The Palmetto State native was a two-star prospect in the 2016 recruiting cycle from Wren — the same high school as Gamecock quarterback Jay Urich. Urich signed with South Carolina in the 2017 recruiting cycle.

He announced his plans to transfer to South Carolina with the following message on Twitter:

“After spending time talking with my family and close friends, It’s a blessing to say I will be continuing my academics and athletic career at the University of South Carolina! Thank you to everyone who’s supported my journey this far. I can’t wait to suit up this fall for the Garnet and Black. #SpursUp”
