Mark Thompson may not have heard his name called during the 2018 NFL Draft but history has shown plenty of running backs have gone on to success at the game’s highest level without being drafted at all.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Thompson’s search for his first professional opportunity has come to an end as the Baltimore Ravens have signed the former Gator running back.
In his two seasons in Gainesville, Thompson rushed for 596 yards and five touchdowns. While those numbers won’t jump out at you, he did average over five yards per carry as a senior. Thompson arrived in Gainesville after being ranked as the No. 1 junior college running back in the nation in the 2016 recruiting cycle.
Former #Florida RB Mark Thompson is signing with the #Ravens as a UDFA, source said. Lot of talent but will have to prove it in Baltimore.
