Elijah Holyfield will miss the 2022 NFL season due to injury.

The Cincinnati Bengals placed Holyfield on injured reserve Thursday, a day after he was carted off in practice with a leg injury.

Holyfield’s NFL career began in 2019 when he landed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent. On Dec. 31, 2019, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Holyfield to the team’s active roster off of the Panthers’ practice squad.

After being waived by the Eagles in August 2021, Holyfield landed on the Bengals practice said in October. In February, Holyfield signed a reserves/future deal with the club.
