Mecole Hardman signed with the New York Jets this offseason, hoping to have an immediate impact, but he’s yet to see significant playing time.

The 5th year player out of Georgia has logged just one reception this season in Week 2. He also has played second fiddle to rookie Xavier Gipson as the Jets return option.

The Jets are now looking to trade Hardman before the Oct. 31 trade deadline, and Hardman is embracing a move.

“I just want to play, get on the field. Whether it’s here or somewhere else, it’s not up to me,” Hardman said. “It depends. If it works out for both sides, I guess, I don’t know. I’ve never been part of this so I don’t know.”

Hardman also posted a cryptic message on social media that could have to do with a potential trade.

Wherever Hardman lands, he will be hoping to finally hit his stride.

5 years into the league, he hasn’t had a standout year, with his best year coming his rookie season when he logged 538 yards and 6 touchdowns.
