Former Kentucky TE Jacob Tamme announces retirement from NFL

Former Kentucky TE Jacob Tamme is hanging ’em up.

The long-time NFL pass catcher announced his retirement via Twitter after nine NFL seasons.

Tamme was originally a fourth-round draft pick in 2008 of the Colts, and after playing four years for the Colts, Tamme then went to Denver and followed Peyton Manning in 2012 before finishing out his final two seasons in Atlanta with the Falcons.

All total, Tamme recorded 259 receptions for 2,570 yards and 14 TDs during his NFL career.
