Justin Watkins, the No. 3-ranked athlete from the 2018 recruiting class, has narrowed down his college choices to five — and there’s a 60 percent chance he ends up picking an SEC school.
On Saturday morning, Watkins tweeted out a top-five list that includes Florida, Alabama, and LSU as potential favorites.

In February, Watkins (5-foot-11, 165 pounds) decommited from LSU to re-open his recruitment. The Tigers are still in the running for his services, but trail a handful of other power programs, including Florida State, which is less than 175 miles away from his hometown.
As a sophomore in 2015, Watkins accumulated 1,920 all-purpose yards and finished with 19 total touchdowns.
There’s still a lot of time between now and the 2018 National Signing Day, so expect this competition between five elite programs to continue heating up and go down to the wire.
