Former LSU DL Davin Cotton has had a roller coaster of an offseason. First, he put his name in the NCAA transfer portal. Then, he took it out. Then, he put it back in again.
Finally, he settled on transferring, and now it seems he has found a new school for the 2019 season and beyond.
Per a tweet from Cotton on Sunday, he’ll remain in Baton Rouge and play at Southern as he continues his career:
I’m excited to announce that I will be attending Southern University to further my education and play football @CoachClarkSU. #GeauxJags ?? pic.twitter.com/X884GPxnjY

Cotton will likely have to sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules, but he would have been a redshirt freshman this fall.
He recorded three total tackles for LSU during the 2018 season.
