Former LSU kicker Trent Domingue tweets potential jab at former team

Former LSU kicker Trent Domingue was a crucial part in Texas’ 50-47 overtime upset of Notre Dame Monday. The graduate transfer made a 25-yard attempt in the third quarter and went 5 of 6 extra point attempts.
His former team, however, was less fortunate in Week 1. LSU lost 16-14 in its season opener against Wisconsin, which could potentially dash its national championship chances.
Domingue tweeted that he was “proud to be part of the winning tradition at Texas” and that he “wouldn’t have it any other way” on Monday. Perhaps its a subtle dig at his old school?

LSU coach Les Miles notified Domingue that he would not renew his scholarship in early July, despite finishing as a Lou Groza Award semifinalist in 2015. Several days later, the senior announced his decision to leave the program.
There’s definitely a chance that this is a subtle jab at his old team, although it could be a coincidence. Either way, it looks like Domingue is getting the last laugh.
