Kwon Alexander will get to play in this year’s NFL playoffs. On Friday, the San Francisco 49ers announced that the former LSU linebacker has been activated.
Alexander was placed on the Injured Reserve List back on Nov. 5. Now in the fifth season of his NFL career, Alexander started each of San Francisco’s first eight games this season, recording 34 tackles, three pass breakups, one interception and one forced fumble. He’s also credited with half of a sack.
Alexander and the 49ers are set to face the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday afternoon in Levi’s Stadium, San Francisco’s home field. Kickoff is set for 4:35 p.m. ET. Minnesota reached the divisional round of the playoffs by defeating the New Orleans Saints in last weekend’s Wild Card round game. The 49ers received a first-round bye.
