Former LSU linebacker Kevin Minter reportedly signs with Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly replacing a former LSU linebacker with one of his old teammates.
Kevin Minter signed with the Buccaneers on Tuesday, according to a tweet from Greg Auman of The Athletic. Tampa Bay made the move to compensate for the season-ending injuries suffered by linebackers Kwon Alexander, a former Tiger, and Jack Cichy on Sunday.

The LSU linebackers were teammates during the 2012 season, when Minter was a junior and Alexander a true freshman. Minter led the team with 130 total tackles and 15 tackles for loss that year before becoming a second-round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2013.
He joined the Cincinnati Bengals after four years in Arizona, though a hamstring injury late in the season landed him on injured reserve. Minter signed with the New York Jets during the offseason but was cut during preseason.
