Former LSU assistant Joe Brady responds when asked about potential interest in Tigers job

Joe Brady was one of the masterminds behind one of the most prolific offenses in college football history during LSU’s championship season in 2019.
Behind the play of Joe Burrow, who broke a host of FBS passing records, and the efforts of players like running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson, the Tigers were untouchable that year as they went 15-0 and ended up hoisting the College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy in New Orleans.
That success saw Brady brought in as the offensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers in 2020 as one of Matt Rhule’s initial hires in Charlotte. So, with the pending departure of Ed Orgeron, it stands to reason that the 32-year-old would be looked at for a return to Baton Rouge to replace his former boss.
Brady was asked about the possibility during a Thursday press conference as the Panthers prepared for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.
“All those things from a coaching perspective, I don’t really pay attention to,” he responded. “It’s one of those things that after (the season ends) I think about those things, but right now I’ve got to do a better job of being the offensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers.”
