The Maryland Terrapins held a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, during which the school announced that it took full legal and moral responsibility for the death of OL Jordan McNair earlier this summer.
It was also announced that the school had “parted ways” with former strength and conditioning coach Rick Court, but Court seemed to contradict that language in the moments following the press conference.
As you can see below, Court tweeted a statement saying he resigned his post with the team:

Per a report from Pete Thamel, Court is walking away from the school with a big paycheck, worth two-thirds of his remaining salary:
Source: Rick Court's settlement with Maryland is a lump sum of $315,000, which is two thirds of what he was due for the remainder of his contract. There's no mitigation going forward. There's also a mutual release of all claims by the school and Court.

Head coach DJ Durkin’s status is still up in the air, as he remains on paid administrative leave.
