Former Mississippi State OL Brevyn Jones announces Big Ten transfer destination

Fabien Lovett and Brevyn Jones were the 2 Mississippi State players to enter the NCAA transfer portal after an ill-fated tweet from new coach Mike Leach.
Lovett transferred to Florida State, and now it seems Jones, an offensive lineman, will be heading to a Big Ten school.
As you can see below, Jones announced via Twitter this week that he would be heading to Illinois to continue his career:

Jones was a freshman in 2019. Coming out of high school, he was a 3-star prospect out of Alabama.
Will he have to sit out a year before resuming his career? Or, will the NCAA approve a 1-time transfer exception? We’ll find out over the next few months, potentially.
