Former Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald spent part of the 2019 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ practice squad, but was cut in October.
Now, he has found a new team, and will play in the first season of the rebooted XFL this winter/spring.
As you can see below, the St. Louis BattleHawks announced via Twitter that they’d signed the talented dual-threat quarterback:
We have added another QB! ?

Interestingly enough, he’ll share a QB room with a former rival — Ole Miss QB Jordan Ta’amu, who is also on the BattleHawks roster.
Who will win the starting job? How will the team use Fitzgerald and his rushing ability? It’ll be fun to watch this play out.
