Former Seattle Seahawks LB and Mississippi State Bulldog K.J. Wright has signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, the team announced Monday.

Wright, who was a 4th-round draft choice by the Seahawks, spent 10 seasons with the club from 2011-2020.

During his time with the Seahawks, Wright had 934 tackles (587 solo tackles), 13.5 sacks, and six interceptions.

He also caused 11 fumbles and recovered 9 of them. Wright has been a steady force over the years with that Seahawks defense, which was why it was a surprise that they let him get away.

Wright is third in Seahawks history in tackles and also third in the NFL among active linebackers in the league.

Last year, the Raiders defense finished 30th in the league, giving up an average of nearly 30 points per game, which ironically is how much their offense, which was ranked eighth in the league last year, scored per game. Wright’s play and his experience will be a welcome addition to a Raiders team who definitely needs the help defensively.
