A year after retiring as head coach of the Missouri Tigers, Gary Pinkel had a positive update to share during a St. Louis radio interview.
From @GaryPinkel on @LineChangeSTL on his health: I'm in remission now. Physically, I'm good. The support has been incredible.

Pinkel revealed he was batting non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma when he announced his retirement from Mizzou last fall. At MU, Pinkel coached for 15 years, a span that covers the Tigers’ transition from the Big 12 to the SEC in 2012. Pinkel posted of 118-73 at Missouri, including SEC East titles in 2013 and 2014. Current Tigers coach Barry Odom was promoted from his previous role as Pinkel’s defensive coordinator.
In semi-retirement, Pinkel has continued to work with the Mizzou athletic department.
