A little more than a week ago, Jason Reese was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On Sunday, the former Missouri tight end found a new team.

Reese signed with the Carolina Panthers, a move that was announced by the team. The former Tiger signed with the Buccaneers after going undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft, but he was released on Aug. 10.

Last season, Reese played 12 games for Missouri, including making three starts. He totaled five receptions for 134 yards and three touchdowns. Reese had 29 receptions for 369 yards and five touchdowns over his four seasons with the Tigers.

Although Reese didn’t compile the greatest stats or play the most during his time at Missouri, perhaps he’ll have the opportunity to contribute with the Panthers this season. Carolina has several other tight ends on its roster, including starter Greg Olsen.

However, perhaps Reese will earn playing time on special teams.
