Former Mizzou QB Blaine Gabbert named 49ers’ starter for Week 1

Former Mizzou QB Blaine Gabbert will start for the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1.
The not-so-surprising decision was made official on Saturday afternoon, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Gabbert beat out Colin Kaepernick and former Florida QB Jeff Driskel for the starting job.
The 49ers will take on the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, Sept. 12, on ESPN.
