Tim Tebow made headlines Tuesday as it was reported the former Florida legend has shifted his focus toward a professional baseball career.
While many are skeptical of the move, at least one former major leaguer has faith in Tebow’s ability to play baseball. After the news was announced, Gary Sheffield tweeted out that he had recently witnessed Tebow’s swing:
I spent time w @TimTebow in the cages recently, he's a NATURAL. I absolutley believe in his ability to play in the bigs. Tim has IT #focused

Whether or not the “bigs” agree with Sheffield’s assessment, it may be hard for a minor league team to pass on the chance to add Tebow to the roster. The ticket sales alone would likely make him an attractive option for many minor league clubs. Imagine the number of fans in the state of Florida that would likely buy tickets to watch Tebow try his hand at professional baseball.
