New England Patriots coach Jerod Mayo and quarterback Jacoby Brissett made a bet with each other over the weekend, and Mayo didn’t waste any time making sure the signal-caller paid up on the deal.

Mayo interrupted Brissett’s press conference by walking in to hand him an orange Volunteers sweatshirt to wear after Tennessee blasted the Wolf Pack, 51-10 over the weekend. Some expected it to be more of a closely contended game between two ranked teams, but the Vols only continued to make a statement as one of college football’s most overlooked teams of the offseason.

Mayo is a former Tennessee football player, while Brissett finished his college career with NC State.

“You forgot something,” Mayo said as he handed Brissett the hoodie.

Here’s a look at Brissett and Mayo’s comical interaction during the press conference as Brissett admitted that the had lost a bet:

On the NFL front, things have been going well for Brissett so far at the start of the season. Brissett connected on 15-of-24 passes for 121 yards in the 16-10 upset victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
