New Louisiana head coach Michael Desmoreaux appears poised to bring one of his predecessor’s staff members back to Lafayette.

According to FOX Sports and the Athletic’s Bruce Feldman, Bryant Ross, currently the offensive line coach at FCS Grambling State, will return to Louisiana to take the same position on Desmoreaux’s staff. Ross spent the 2021 season at Grambling after 3 seasons with the Ragin’ Cajuns and Billy Napier as the program’s assistant offensive line coach. He helped guide an offensive line that saw 4 players gain either All-Sun Belt 2nd or 3rd team honors in 2020.

Prior to his tenure at Louisiana, Ross was a graduate assistant at Mississippi State in 2017, which followed a 3-year stint as offensive line coach and run game coordinator at Division II Central State and time on the staff of West Hills College, where he played center for 2 years before transferring to FCS Alabama A&M.
