Former South Carolina LB Bangally Kamara signs on with Big 12 school

Former South Carolina LB Bangally Kamara has found his new home before the end of the 2024 college football season.
Agents for Kamara announced that the former Gamecock has signed a “revenue sharing agreement” with Kansas.

Kamara had only a brief stop in Columbia. In October, it was announced that he had elected to use a redshirt season for 2024 and enter the transfer portal. A 5th-year player, Kamara will be using his extra eligibility due to COVID-19’s impact on 2020 to play a 6th year, which he will use with the Jayhawks.
“He came into my office and told me that he was redshirting,” Beamer said in October, per Rivals. “I told him that’s not quite how this works and we could have a discussion about his role and if redshirting is best. We went back and forth for a little bit. I think his situation is a little bit different.”
A Pitt transfer, Kamara logged just 70 snaps with the Gamecocks. He posted 9 tackles, including 7 solo stops and a TFL in his time on Shane Beamer’s squad.
At Pitt, Kamara played in 48 games, he recorded 120 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 5 sacks.
