Former South Carolina standout Javon Kinlaw calls Gamecocks fans ‘the worst’

Javon Kinlaw isn’t shy about calling out South Carolina. The former Gamecock, now with the San Francisco 49ers, called the program’s fans “the worst” in a Friday tweet.

“Gamecock fans the worst . On my soul,” Kinlaw posted to his Twitter account.

At the time of publishing, Kinlaw’s tweet has 1,500 likes, more than 500 retweets and nearly 300 replies.

It’s not uncommon to see former players upset about seeing their head coach fired. Kinlaw appears to take particular issue with South Carolina fans unhappy with the Gamecock players who have opted since Will Muschamp was canned and Mike Bobo was installed as interim head coach.

Kinlaw also retweeted former teammate Bryan Edwards’ post that was critical of firing Muschamp.

We’ll see if Kinlaw supports his alma mater’s next head coach or comes around Columbia any time in the future.
