Former South Carolina WR Damiere Byrd is having a career day in his time in the NFL for the New England Patriots on Sunday against the Houston Texans.

By late in the fourth quarter, Byrd had six catches for 132 yards, including a 42-yard touchdown on just seven targets. Mike Uva of WACH-FOX noted that this is the biggest receiving performance for the former Gamecock since he had 121 yards against Tennessee in 2013.

Byrd was signed by the Patriots as an unrestricted free agent from Arizona in March after he also spent time on and off the Carolina practice squad largely since 2015.

Byrd has had a consistent role with the Patriots most of the season, and his previous career game came earlier this season against the Kansas City Chiefs when he made five catches for 80 yards.
