Former South Carolina WR Pharoh Cooper on hand to watch Gamecocks upset Tennessee

Former South Carolina WR Pharoh Cooper’s NFL bye week came at a great time.

The Los Angeles Rams rookie was in Columbia on Saturday night to watch his Gamecocks pull off a major upset of SEC East rival Tennessee.

After the 24-21 win, Cooper told The State he was thrilled to be a part of the big game:

“I was on the field recording everything,” said Cooper, who was home during the Rams’ open week. “Had to celebrate the win. It was a big game that we needed, and especially since two years ago we lost to them in double OT. We owed them that. Unbelievable atmosphere and feeling.”

Cooper was a fourth-round pick of the Rams in the 2016 NFL Draft. He has yet to record his first NFL catch.
