Former South Carolina WR Shaq Davidson is going from being a Gamecock to… a Gamecock.

Davidson told 247Sports’ Ryan Bartow he is choosing FCS power Jacksonville State over Tennessee-Chattanooga, Furman and Winston-Salem State.

“I felt at home,” Davidson said. “They came on late for me but they came on strong.”

By transferring to an FCS school, Davidson will be eligible to play right away and can play up to four years. He originally signed as part of the 2014 class, but redshirted that fall and missed the 2015 season after tearing his ACL in August, a week before South Carolina started its season.
