Back in July, second-year Tennessee DL Ryan Thaxton was dismissed from the team after being arrested following an alleged domestic assault incident.
Thaxton faced charges of domestic assault and false imprisonment, and pleaded guilty in court on Tuesday to the latter charge after the first was dropped.
Per a report from KnoxNews.com, Thaxton will enter a judicial diversion program. If he completes it successfully, the charge will be dismissed.
The KnoxNews.com report detailed what happened during the alleged incident back in July:
During an argument in an on-campus residence hall, police said Thaxton pushed his girlfriend toward his room, picked her up and carried her inside, and then blocked the door to keep her from leaving, court records show.
Thaxton didn’t play as a freshman in 2017.
