In a move that left many in the NFL world scratching their heads, the Seattle Seahawks waived former Texas A&M RB Christine Michael on Tuesday:

The move was surprising because Michael has carried the ball 117 times for 469 yards and six touchdowns for the Seahawks this season.
However, thanks to the return of Thomas Rawls from injury and the emergence of former Notre Dame RB C.J. Prosise, Michael was deemed expendable, according to Adam Caplan:
#Seahawks cut Christine Michael for 3 reasons: Thomas Rawls will be back this week, Prosise surpassed him, and he regressed as a runner.

Michael was picked in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Seahawks.
