Auburn and North Carolina haven’t competed on the field since 2001, but they’re going at it off the field as each school is hoping to land a pair of brothers for the Class of 2016.

Cornerback Jayvaughn Meyers out of Dade City, Fla., announced on Thursday that he’s down to the Tigers or Tar Heels for his college choice, which he’ll make on National Signing Day (Feb. 3).

Jayvaughn’s brother, Nate Craig-Myers, made a similar announcement on Tuesday. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver had been committed to Auburn previously before re-opening his recruitment. Meanwhile, Jayvaughn was once committed to Florida.

The pair made an official visit to Auburn back on Jan. 15.

Jayvaughn is tabbed as the No. 38 cornerback while Nate is rated as the No. 6 receiver in the Class of 2016, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
