Georgia picked up its ninth commitment of the 2018 recruiting cycle Monday morning from four-star defender Caleb Tannor. Making this news even better for UGA fans, Tannor chose the Bulldogs over Auburn.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Tannor ranks as the No. 15 weakside defensive end in the nation and the No. 34 overall prospect from the state of Georgia according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. While Georgia and Auburn were his Top 2 choices, Tannor also holds scholarship offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State and Tennessee among others.

News of Tannor’s commitment was first reported by DawgNation. Last season, Tannor registered 54 tackles, seven sacks and two safeties.
The Bulldogs now hold commitments from two defensive end prospects, as Tannor joins Jaevon Becton as the only two defensive linemen pledged to the class.
One look at his junior season highlight reel and you’ll see the massive potential Tannor has to become the next great pass rusher for the Georgia defense. If he can add to his frame without losing his quick first step and overall speed, he should develop into a matchup nightmare for any offensive scheme.
