Four-star linebacker Rahshaun Smith (Bradenton, Fla./IMG Academy) has announced his top four and will make a decision on Jan. 2 at the Under Armour All-America Game and two SEC programs — Auburn and LSU — are in the top four.

The other two programs — Clemson and Maryland — are significant. Smith was committed to the Tigers for months during the 2016 cycle. The Terps are located in Smith’s home state (he is originally from Baltimore and played at Calvert Hall before transferring to IMG).

My prediction here is that he re-commits to Clemson as his relationship with Tigers defensive coordinator Brent Venables has been strong since the early days of his recruitment.

An interesting nugget: three of his final four have the mascot “Tigers”.

Smith is the No. 74 overall prospect in the 2016 recruiting cycle per 247Sports Composite rankings.
