Four-star offensive lineman Obinna Eze spurned several SEC teams and instead committed to Memphis Monday.

Eze, who plays for Davidson Academy in Nashville, picked the Tigers over Alabama, Florida, LSU and Tennessee, who were also listed as finalists. The four-star lineman also received offers from Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.

Eze ranks as the No. 8 player from the Volunteer State, No. 26 offensive tackle and No. 211 overall prospect for the 2017 national recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is Memphis’ highest rated commitment and its first four-star prospect since 2015.
