Four-star SEC target Arden Key sets decision date

Four-star defensive end Arden Key, one of the top uncommitted pass rushers still on the board for several SEC programs, will announce his decision on Feb. 2 during a TV show on Fox Sports South.

Key, a Lithonia, Ga., product who has already decommitted twice from South Carolina, told The State’s Josh Kendall he does not have a leader, but said the Gamecocks, Florida, LSU, Auburn and Miami have made his final list.

Key has an official visit scheduled at South Carolina on Jan. 23 and will also visit Miami and LSU. A fourth visit to Auburn or Florida is expected before February.

During the week leading up to the Under Armour All-American Game in December, Key said he would not visit or sign with home state Georgia despite defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt’s interest.
