Which college football program is the rightful “DBU?”
Many have staked a claim in the argument, but Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman may have finally come up with the answer.
DBU: No college has as many players at one position on opening day NFL rosters as #LSU does with its 9 defensive backs.

Not only have LSU players made it to the NFL, but they’ve also been among the league’s best. Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson is regarded by many as the best in the league at his position. Peterson played for the Tigers from 2008-10 and was a Bednarik and Thorpe Award winner in his final season.
Teammate Tyrann Mathieu, a former Heisman Trophy finalist at LSU, was rewarded with a five-year, $62.5 million extension this offseason after three stellar seasons with the Cardinals. Mathieu also won a Bednarik Award in 2011.
LSU should continue that trend with Tre’Davious White and Jamal Adams expected to garner interest from teams in the 2017 NFL Draft.
