Former Arkansas center Frank Ragnow was drafted by the Detroit Lions with the No. 20 pick overall Thursday night.

The former First-Team All-American was the anchor of Arkansas’ offensive line throughout his four-year career. Unfortunately, his senior season was cut short due to a season-ending injury. In over 2,600 snaps, Ragnow never allowed a college sack. That’s an impressive stat that shows his consistency and incredible production.

No doubt Ragnow has the size, power and experience to eventually become an anchor in the NFL. He’s the type of player that brings it every single game, but he may not wow you on any given play. Consistency is one of Ragnow’s greatest assets, along with his physical mean streak.

Ragnow’s father, Jon, tragically passed away during the 2016 season, but he didn’t miss a beat. In fact, over the course of the difficult season, Ragnow was a standout at his position. Altogether, the year showed that Ragnow was beloved by his coaches, teammates and fans who supported him throughout.

The 6-foot-5, 312-pound lineman is from Victoria, Minnesota, and he was rated as a 4-star prospect in the class of 2014.
