The top of the ranking remained largely the same, but there was movement at the bottom of the latest Football Writers Association of America poll, released on Monday.
Mississippi State and TCU entered the poll this week at Nos. 15 and 16, while the top seven teams remained the same as last week, with Alabama remaining No. 1. Auburn received two first-place votes for the second straight week, though the Tigers remained at No. 6.
The Super 16 voting panel is made up of select college football writers along with College Football Hall of Fame members. The poll is released each Monday going forward.
