Day 2 of the Gainesville Super Regional, like Day 1, has started on a sour note. Saturday’s game between Florida and South Carolina, as it was Friday, has been delayed due to severe weather near Gainesville.
Game 1 was delayed Friday evening, with the game starting after 8:30 instead of its original start time at 6 p.m.
Rain can only last so long, however. The cell over Gainesville is expected to exit the area soon, though no announcement has been made towards a new start time.
Due to inclement weather in the forecast, the start time of today’s game has been delayed.

Florida took Game 1 of the Gainesville Super Regional, downing South Carolina 5-4 in a thrilling game. A win Saturday punches Florida’s first ticket to Omaha since 2018.
As of now, the game is still slated to be aired on ESPN2. As with Friday night, that could change.
