South Carolina’s 2015 neutral site season opener against region foe and former ACC rival North Carolina has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 3 according to Andrew Carter of The News & Observer.
The matchup was originally scheduled for the first Saturday of September in Charlotte, but now gets a prime-time slot to kick-off the college football season.

South Carolina’s 2013 opener against the Tar Heels was also a Thursday night showdown, a 27-10 win by the Gamecocks in Columbia.
