South Carolina is making legendary alumnus Tommy Suggs a prominent part of the school’s gameday tradition, announcing Friday that the central promenade at Gamecock Park, which players walk-through before home games, will be named after Suggs.

Suggs was the starting quarterback for South Carolina from 1968-70, leading the Gamecocks to an ACC championship in 1969. He has been part of USC’s radio broadcast team since 1973.
