The Gamecocks went into ACC country to pick up their latest commitment.

Potomac (Dumfries, Va.) OT Jesus Gibbs became the 13th pledge in South Carolina’s 2018 recruiting class. The 3-star prospect recruited by USC assistants Eric Wolford and Lance Thompson announced his commitment with a note on his Twitter account.

While South Carolina was the only SEC school recruiting Gibbs, the 6-foot-4, 265-pound offensive tackle had 17 offers including Boston College, East Carolina, Kansas, N.C. State, Syracuse, Virginia and Wake Forest. The 247Sports Composite rates Gibbs as the No. 26 recruit from Virginia. USC’s class is now ranked No. 7 in the SEC and No. 37 nationally.
