Garrett Nussmeier bided his time to become the starting quarterback at LSU.

Now, he has a decision to make about how much longer he wants to hold that position.

Following his team’s 37-17 win over Oklahoma on Saturday night, Nussmeier was asked about where he currently stands on entering the NFL Draft or coming back for another season to lead LSU.

“I have not decided about that. I haven’t had any discussions or conversations, I wanted to leave that until after the season,” Nussmeier said. “I can’t really tell you where I’m at right now. I know that I love LSU, this school, this fan base, this organization. I’ll have those conversations early this week and we’ll go from there.”

Should be enter the draft, Nussmeier figures to rank as one of the top 10 quarterbacks in this upcoming class and could earn a first or second-day grade should be work out well over the coming months.

However, if Nussmeier returns, LSU figures to make a push for a conference and national title, as it would bring back its veteran quarterback, a host of now-experienced skill position players and some key pieces on defense.
