Nike has signed LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier to an NIL deal, the parties announced on Friday.
Nussmeier joins a coveted list of Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams and Penn State quarterback Drew Allar as the only current college football athletes to be signed to a Nike NIL deal.

Nussmeier has had a slower start to the season than many predicted. While still leading in the Heisman Trophy odds according to BetMGM, Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer is closing in on Nussmeier.
Nussmeier has thrown for 469 yards through 2 games. More surprisingly, Nussmeier only has 2 touchdowns, throwing for 1 in each game. While it has been a slower start than many expected, Nussmeier has a chance to get right back on track with a big week against Florida.
Florida will be looking to bounce back after a Week 2 loss to USF at home.
LSU will host Florida in primetime on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
