Garrett Nussmeier came in at QB during the 3rd quarter as the LSU Tigers were hammering the Army Black Knights 38-0 at the half.

With under 2 minutes left in the 3rd, Nussmeier connected with star receiver Malik Nabers for a 51-yard score. The score put the Tigers up 45-0 over the Black Knights.

Check it out below:

The score was Nabers’ 2nd of the night and his 9th of the season. On that TD, no defender was even within 5 yards of Nabers. Near of the end of the 3rd, both Nabers and fellow receiver Brian Thomas Jr. have multiple TDs and 100+ receiving yards.

Jayden Daniels had an amazing night before being removed in favor of Nussmeier. The starting QB finished with 279 passing yards and 3 TDs.

With the Tigers well in control of this matchup, it’s safe to say assume the team will improve to 6-2. The team will next have a bye week before gearing up to head to Tuscaloosa in Week 10. The LSU matchup could have major playoff implications, with the Tigers still having an outside chance of winning the SEC West.
