Gary Danielson is getting blasted: New conference, same complaints from fans

When the game between Texas A&M and Ole Miss was postponed because of COVID-19 concerns and protocols, CBS Sports decided to switch its afternoon game of the week to San Diego State and Nevada from Reno.

That meant that the broadcast team of Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Jamie Erdahl also went out west and did not call an SEC game this week. It was the second straight week that CBS made a last-minute audible after the Alabama-LSU game was called off last week. However, the network had The Masters to broadcast that afternoon.

This time, college football fans in the West got a dose of what SEC fans have complained about for years, and that is Danielson’s gaffes. This time it was the conference involved, and even the name of the field.
