Gators land in-state LB David Reese over Miami, Michigan

The Gators have made it 11 commitments in 11 days.
The latest pledge comes from Vero Beach (Fla.) LB David Reese. Rated 3-stars and the No. 31 outside linebacker on the 247Sports Composite, Reese had 16 offers, including Alabama, Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee. Once thought to be a Miami lean, Reese had showed recent interest in Michigan, but committed to Florida on Saturday.
Reese’s commitment presents an interesting situation for coach Jim McElwain and the Gators come 2018, as Florida will have two linebackers named David Reese on the roster. The older Reese committed in 2016 (and also considered Michigan) and is expected to start this season, taking the spot of Jarrad Davis.
