The UAB Blazers announced on Thursday that they have scheduled a matchup with Georgia for 2021.
The game will be played Sept. 11 in Athens during Week 2. The two schools have met twice before with UGA winnings both matchups. UAB did prove to be a tough battle in 2003 when the Bulldogs won a close game 16-13.
Mark Ingram, Director of Athletics for UAB, said that playing at Georgia will be an incredible opportunity for the team.
“Playing at the University of Georgia is an incredible opportunity for our team,” said Ingram. “It’s also close in proximity to UAB so that our loyal fans can more easily travel to see the Blazers play.”
