Georgia adds to nation’s No. 1 recruiting class, land commit from Tennessee lineman Tymon Mitchell

Kirby Smart and company continue to add to the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class as Tennessee native Tymon Mitchell announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Thursday.

The 6-foot-3, 309-pound Nashville native plays defensive line for Franklin Road Academy. According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Mitchell is a three-star prospect, the No. 24 defensive tackle in the nation and the No. 15 prospect from the state of Tennessee. Mitchell commits to the Bulldogs over offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Duke, Stanford and Virginia among others.

The Bulldogs now hold commitments from 19 prospects in the 2019 recruiting cycle.
